Don 2 in trouble

Don 2 the most expected movie this year is in trouble now. Don 2 is produced by Shahrukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

Nariman Films who originally produced Don starring Amitabh Bachchan in 1978 has filed a cased on copyrights.

Nariman films, Excel Entertainment, owned by Farhan and Ritesh had the copyright to remake the original Don movie which they did in 2006: The Chase Begins Again. They had agreement till 2009 and it got expired and now they have sent an legal notice saying Excel Entertainment did not renew the agreement.

Nariman films claim that they have the title ‘’Don 2- Return of the King’’ and Don 2 posters says ‘’The king is Back’’, which is another problem.

Nariman films have approached the court and asked to hold the movie to get released on December 23rd.

Excel Entertainment says it’s rubbish and Don2 is entirely new story and it has nowhere to do with copyright issues and it’s not connected with the previous part of Don 1.
